12 (Naughty) Moments of Anime 2011 No. 11 – Geriatric Groovin’

Fractale may have been a mess overall, but if there’s one thing it got right, it’s the dancing.

You see, Yamakan was shackled by the conventions of “plot” and “character development” and “telling competent jokes”. But in this one moment in episode five, we finally get a taste of what Fractale is truly about: The power of dance.

Who is the most moe character? Nessa.

What does Nessa love? Love.

How do you channel Nessa’s love? Through dance.

Therefore, love = dance, and because the show has to be about the most moe character, Fractale is all about dancing.

If only Yamakan had the freedom to make the final battle a dance-off. If only.

  1. That would have made a better series.

  2. They got some smooth moves! Every anime needs more dance numbers, imagine Mirai Nikki? Dancing while cutting peoples heads off DO IT YUNO! WOooooooooo xDD

  3. Fractale… still too soon, man. Still too soon…

  4. Anime dance numbers are the only good things Yamakan has done.
